Malkia Wa Murang'a -  translates "The Queen Of Murang'a"

Our recent trip to two coffee origins, Kenya and Rwanda, was an absolute highlight of our professional coffee careers thus far.

Visiting coffee origins is nothing short of an eye-opening and heartwarming experience. From the warmth of the people, the heartfelt smiles, and the easy-flowing laughter, to the hugs from complete strangers who feel like long-lost friends, every moment was filled with genuine connection.

The hard work, love, and dedication of farmers and their families, who spend their lives nurturing their land with all their heart and soul, is truly inspiring. We were captivated by the beauty of the region and the simplicity of the people.

Every day brought a new highlight, from the warm comforting bowls of matoke (plantains) and beans to our adventurous boat ride across Lake Kivu in heavy rain, with breathtaking views of mountains on both sides and Congo and Rwanda on each side.

Spending time with farmers and exploring their lands as they shared their stories left us in constant awe. There were more "pinch-me" moments than we can recount, making us wonder, "Is this real?"

Follow along as we share some beautiful microlots from Rwanda and Kenya coffees and their incredible stories with the rest of Europe this coming November. Stay tuned for a taste of our unforgettable journey!
